My Story
When the father was a child, just about the age that his daughter was when he left her, he was introduced to the notion of magic milk. He remembers when his little brother was born his family was very poor. They did not have enough money to feed the entire family. He remembers his mother did not have enough nutrients to be able to produce breast milk and could not feed his baby brother. One time when his baby brother was very sick, a nice neighbor came by the house. When he opened the door for the neighbor, the neighbor was carrying a tin can. The neighbor told him to call his mother and his mother came running out. He was sent to his room and told to watch his brother and close the door. He did as he was told even when he heard his moms bed frame shaking like an earthquake. When he heard the front door open he came out to try to eavesdrop. He heard his mother say “you said you would give me two cans if I did it.” The man mumbled something and then walked out. He went to go ask his mom what she was carrying. She said “Magic Milk.” He asked her what it was for. She told him to help his baby brother. He asked where he could find it. She responded it was not found in all stores because it was expensive. He saw his brother get better that week until the magic milk finished. Then his brother got worse again and died. He vouched that he would never left another family member get sick and that he would go to all lengths to find the magic milk.
